TAKESI 3 Days
We suggest this classic and short trek for those people who have a short stage in La Paz city. This route shows us spectacular views and unforgettable moments not only in the mountainous part, buy also in the high valleys of the Royal Mountain Range. It is similar to the Machupicchu Inca Trail.
Day 1. LA PAZ – TAKESI Departure from La Paz in transport to San Francisco mine situated at two hours trip or 42 Kilometers. We begin the trek following the pre-Columbian rounte fo the Incas ancient, but well preserved. After an hour and a half we arrive to the pass at 4.650 m. From that momento we descend to the high valleys. We camp near Takesi hamlet, 5 hours trek.
Day 2. TAKESI – KAKAPI This day we descend to lower and warmer regions surrounded by giant ferns and a great variety of flowers, begonias, orchids, etc., 5 hours trek. Day 3. KAKAPI – CHOJLLA Four hours trek to arrive to Chojlla (miner center) where we have lunch and we comeback to La Paz.
