ANCOHUMA (6.427 m - 21.080 ft)

Escalada 6 Dias

Día 1. LA PAZ – SORATA

Departure from hotel at 08:00 am. in private transport to Sorata 2.700 m. town on the high valleys of the High Plateau on slopes of the Illampu snow-capped during 4 hours. In the afternoon hike to San Pedro Cave during 4 to 5 hours two ways. Hotel accommodations for rest.

Día 2. SORATA – LAGUNA CHILATA

In the morning leave Sorata going to Chilata through the paths to the camp 4.245 m.

Día 3. LAGUNA CHILATA – LAGUNA GLACIAR

With a five or six hours trek we arrive to the  camp at 4.900 m. viewing the Titicaca Lake y the Sorata Valley.

Día 4. LAGUNA GLACIAR – CAMPO ALTO

After five hours trek we are at 5.750 m.

Día 5. CIMA

Climbing during six hours toward the Ancohuma summit

Día 6. LAGUNA CHILATA – SORATA – LA PAZ

Return from Chilata Lagoon enjoying the beautiful landscape of Ancohuma toward Sorata and following to La Paz

Lentes de sol. Ropa abrigada. Guantes normal. Mochila (60 litros o mas). Mochila pequeña (5 litros o más). Linterna frontal.
